atSC is
assisting MNCC to organize a 2-day MNCC-OSS101. Appreciation workshop and
Seminar for the Southern Region at the University of Technology Malaysia, Skudai,
Johor.
8th September 2003
atSC with the
support from MNCC, has organized a 6-day training session to introduce school
teachers to Open Source software. The course covered were a 4-day Linux
Fundamental training followed by a 2-day OpenOffice.org course.
This event was held from 8 to 13 September 2003 at KMDC computer labs and 11
secondary school teachers in Klang Valley were involved. This event was made
possible by the generous sponsorship of Dato' Siew Nim Chee.

assisting MNCC to organize a 2-day MNCC-OSS101 Appreciation workshop and Seminar
for the Government at Intan Training Center, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

atSC, MNCC and
Getronics Solution Malaysia came together to set up the Open Source
Compatibility Centre (OSCC) to serve the local ICT industry by providing a
platform and resource center where OSS solutions and deployment can be evaluated
and tested.
The OSCC was established in partnership with IBM, SUN, Novell, MSTi, Xerox,
Dell, Samsung and KMDC.

participate in MNCC-OSSIG OSS101 Appreciation Workshop in Penang. Hosted by KDU
College Penang Campus.

atSC to sponsor
CompTia Linux+ Certification Vouchers for MNCC-OSSIG OSS101 Appreciation
Workshop participants. The MNCC-OSSIG successfully held the OSS101 end-user
appreciation seminar and workshop at the Asia Pacific Institute for Information
Technology (APIIT) on 19-20 February 2003. The half-day seminar showcased
open-source software (OSS) solutions for the typical office environment to
participants who were mainly from local corporations.

MNCC-OSSIG
Photos from the INTAN IMATEC Official Opening. The newly completed Management
Technology Centre (IMATEC) of the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN)
in Bukit Kiara, KL, was officially opened by the PM, Dr Mahathir on 6 January
2003.
