Why you should
consider IT Project Management?
According to the Standish Group CHAOS Report, Only 28% of IT projects have been
successful (on-time, within budget and acceptable quality deliverables) and
meeting project objectives. Most IT Project Managers are being promoted based on
their extensive technical experience, furthermore there is increasing needs to
have Non-IT Managers managing IT projects due to their business impact and
decision making authority. All these Managers have been trained in own
disciplines but not in IT Project Management.
Ask yourself :
• Are you aware of IT projects have only 28% of success rate?
• Are you one of the Accidental IT Project Manager?
• Do I have what it takes to be a good IT Project Manager?
• Why should you let your project fails again if you could avoid it?
• What skills must I posses in order to make a different?
